Your index site must be short

For the benefits of your visitor, don't place all your content on the index site. Keep in ideas that you can use several pages on developing a website. Having a single-page website with all the contents there will make a visitor dizzy and bewildered.

This will make your visitors keep on staying on your site longer. After analyzing the content of your website, it is more likely that your visitor will look for other pages on your site that would interest him. Using short, distinct and accurate ideas will also help the visitor know the content of the pages where your website link is going. I suggest to locate the navigation menu on top and the other significant backlinks on the right side menu. You can also use a drop-down alternatives if you have many links.

Clean layout design

Arrange the contents of the website appropriately. You can use as many techniques as you need to be able to place the images or whatever you need for the website. Beginners usually put as much images as they can, considering it would be amazing to look at, but you should put little images. For a protected design, you can also use templates.

Use consistent fonts

As much as possible, use only two to three kinds of font face with and the suggested sizes are ten to 14 points. Just use different font styles, italics for example, to point out keywords. Also, use a font that is available on all computer to prevent having a terrible designs.

Cross browser compatible

Keep in mind that there are lot of internet browser other than what you are using. At least make sure that your codes and designs are appropriate to the considerable viewers like Internet Exp. 5+, Mozilla Firefox 1.0, Opera 7.0 and Netscape Navigator 6+ .
